Brother DS‑740D: Driver Installation & Setup Guide
Follow the steps below for your operating system to install the scanner and associated software properly.
Windows (e.g., Windows 10, 11)
Visit the official support page and select your OS version: Windows 10, 11, or newer. Ensure you choose the Scanner Driver and MobileCapture or iPrint&Scan software. (support.brother.com, help.brother-usa.com)
Download and run the installer:
Double-click the downloaded
.exe
file.Choose your language → Click Next, accept the license agreement → Click Install.
When installation finishes, click Finish.
Connect the DS‑740D to your PC via USB. Windows should detect it automatically. Power-cycle the device if needed.
Launch the Brother scanning application (e.g., MobileCapture or iPrint&Scan) and perform a test scan.
